“The Real Kris Kringle” kicks off the holiday season along with a great benefit CD, take a listen!

Screen shot 2009-11-30 at 8.50.59 PMMerry December everyone!

It’s just about that time a year to get out the jingle bells and wrapping paper, so what better way to kick off the season and help out some people than to put out a benefit CD. Mark Bryant, of Plimro Records (Jake Hill, Patmos Brothers Revival), COOL102, and some other cool cats put together a 22-band Christmas benefit CD featuring the likes of local favorites 3rd Left, Jake Hill, Shaun Dever and more.

Featured on the CD is a new song by a new band, featuring 4 of our good friends: Shaun Dever, Nick Amendolare (both formerly of Comboguy, and Shaun frequents our stages), Nate Cristofori (you’ve seen him on the waterfront with his piano), and Tyler Kinsherf (formerly of our old friends, the Side Street Bandits). The band, The Juicebox Graduates, and the song, “The Real Kris Kringle”. You can check it out right here at Brewster Productions! http://www.brewsterproductions.com/kringle .

The sale of the CD will benefit the Cranberry Hospice and the Fragile Footprint Pediatric Palliative Care Program. Here’s the tracklist: http://www.thecheapseats.net/a_christmas_miracle-back.jpg

There are going to be a few release parties in Plymouth and Hyannis, and we’ll let you know more about how to purchase the CD.

Happy shopping!

Brewster LIVES!

Hey everyone,

We’ve been kind of invisible/non-existent in the past couple months. For that we sincerly apologize. Of course, the economic meltdown thing even affected good ol’ Brewster Productions. BUT we’re slowly getting back on our feet, and this summer is going to be a doozy.

Before I get into that, I have to mention some good press we got over the winter. Brewster Productions topped the list of “who to watch in 2009″ in Ryan Wood’s column in the OCM. Along with us were a ton of the rad characters we’ve worked with in the past year-and-a-half: Jake Hill (artist of the year), 3rd Left (best live act), Stephen MacDonald (best new act), and our good friends Shaun Dever and Eagle Hill Band (who to watch). 2008 was a great year of local music around Plymouth, and 2009 is shaping up to be even better. Check out the article:

SO, we have some great news:

1) The second year of the Acoustic Evenings on the Harbor series is officially ON. And it’s going to be even cooler and longer (we’ll likely be starting Memorial Day weekend). Stay tuned for a schedule (and if you’re a musician who wants to play, e-mail us).

2) This summer, the School’s Out Summer Concert Series is an official IRS incorporated non-profit organaization. Awesome (anyone want to sponsor us???).

3) The School’s Out Summer Concert Series is now the name of a multi-venue Plymouth free waterfront concert series, that will include the normal main stage and the Hedge House for our acoustic shows. Basically, all the free waterfront shows we’re doing are part of one big series. It should be pretty awesome.

4) We have a show! Go see the EAGLE HILL BAND at the Black Spot in Hyannis March 13th!!! They’ll be giving away singles off their upcoming EP (out this summer).

That’s all for now. Please support Brewster Productions! You don’t have to give us money, but tell everyone about us and let’s get some publicity for the series. Rock n roll!

Keep it real. Go Brewster.
