Where you can find us this week. Hint: We’re all over the place.

Greetings from Brewster Productions land! We’ve been working real hard this summer on our School’s Out Summer Concert Series, as well as expanding the business side of things. To give you a little taste of what we’re up to (and so perhaps you can come say hello and give us a high-five or something), here’s our schedule for the next week-ish:

This afternoon 6/26 we’ll be closing up the Showmobile at the end of the Relay For Life at Plymouth South High School (go panthers!)

Tonight 6/26 – we’ll be providing sound production for the SAIL Plymouth Boat Parade in Plymouth Harbor. It’s a cool event, check it out. 8pm.

Tomorrow 6/27 – we’ll be at T-Bones Roadhouse on Court St., Plymouth, doing sound for the inaugural T-Bones/Plimro Records Chilifest Cook-off  from about 4pm to midnight.

Also tomorrow, we’ll opening/closing the Showmobile for the Sceleroderma Foundation Walk on the waterfront.

Wednesday, we’ll be taking care of our Showmobile duties for the 1st Project Arts free concert of the season.

Thursday we’ll be doing the same for the L. Knife & Son free concert series.

THEN we have our very own big weekend: FRIDAY 7/2 we’ll be back in action at the Hedge House with Sean P. Rogan (of Big D and the Kids Table), and SATURDAY 7/3 we’ll be celebrating Plymouth’s 2nd biggest holiday (you know, besides the one with the turkey dinner), the Third of July at the Waterfront Main Stage with popular local acts 3rd Left, Jake Hill, The Eagle Hill Band, and Nate Cristofori.

It’s going to be a busy, fun week. We’ll be around various places, so look for the Brewster “CREW” shirts, and come say hi!

Rock on.

Full of surprises: Hitch and EHB are joined by Jake Hill and sax extraordanaire James Calandrella

(R to L) Jake Hill, Jim Calandrella, and Brian Hitchings rocked Sweetwater Cafe in Boston Thursday, April 29.

The other night was our last show at Sweetwater Cafe in Boston for a little while, but it was something else. Originally, Hitch from 3rd Left was scheduled to play, with support from the Eagle Hill Band acoustic. Then, Jake Hill showed up. And then James Calandrella, “the best sax player in Boston”, according to Hitch (he’s not kidding), showed up and played. It was an incredible show. Here are the photos.

Our next show as of right now is just 24 days away, and happens to be the huge OPENING NIGHT of the 2010 School’s Out Summer Concert Series. Needless to say, we’re very excited for our favorite part of the year. We’ll have some more details about it, but from here on out, come back here for news on Brewster shows in general, but go to the CONCERT SERIES web site for updates on that front.

Check out the photos below, and stay tuned for concert series news (and go to the web site). We’ll be seeing you all quite soon, outside on a warm night on the glorious Plymouth waterfront. Until then, keep both feet on the wheel.

Ben Carter in the Brewster Sessions, a track meet, and a weekend of great music in Boston

Ben Carter just joined us in the studio for The Brewster Sessions. Listen a sneak peak below.

First things first: This weekend, we’ve got 2 crazy shows in Boston. You’ve been hearing a lot about these recently, but here they are again. The Okay Win rocks the house tomorrow 3/12 with their raucous indie rock sound, and Saturday 3/13, 3rd Left will jam the night away like only they can – BOTH SHOWS are at Sweetwater Cafe in Boston. Both shows are at 10pm, 21+ and have a $5 cover.

Then the other big thing going on this weekend is the NIKE INDOOR NATIONALS indoor track meet at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston. We’ll be up bright ‘n’ early tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday, providing the sound production for guest DJ Stephen Infascelli and the other announcers at the national high school indoor track meet. Yeah, it’s a big meet. Like reeeeal big. We’ll be tweeting about it throughout the weekend to let the world know how its going. And if you want to see some great races and events featuring the best high school athletes the good ol’ USA has to offer, then come on down and check out the meet. Here’s the schedule.

In other news, yesterday, Ben Carter was in the studio with us recording another installment of THE BREWSTER SESSIONS. It was a great time, and inspired some really cool ideas that we’ll be revealing soon. They may or may not involve a CD and the summer concert series. For now, here’s a sneak peak: A rough mix of “Anna” by Ben Carter.

Don’t miss the shows this weekend. Rock on!

Greg and Nate rock the groovy Sweetwater downstairs

Greg Loftus at Sweetwater Cafe March 5, 2010. Presented by Brewster Productions.

The rad tunes were pouring out of a little room downstairs in an alleyway club tonight in Boston. Greg Loftus and Nate Cristofori, two of south-of-Boston’s finest, tuned up Sweetwater Cafe’s downstairs stage tonight. Nate started off the show with some great sing-alongs with his contagious piano-ing, and Greg closed out the evening with some incredible bluesy guitar and singing work. Check out the photos. Good night, and see you next week.

Nate Cristofori at Sweetwater Cafe March 5, 2010. Presented by Brewster Productions.

Here’s what’s going on next weekend: The two big shows are THE OKAY WIN 3/12 and 3rd LEFT 3/13, both at Sweetwater Cafe. Also next weekend, Team Brewster will be tackling the Nike Indoor Nationals track meet as the official sound team. We’re going to tweet about the wacky time we’re having the whole time with fun photos, so stay tuned to that if you feel like reliving your former athletic days through a sound production company. Which reminds me: Follow us on Twitter! Who knows, maybe we’ll end up like that girl @lovelybutton if Conan discovers us.

PS – HAPPY 23rd BIRTHDAY TO SCOTT!

“The Real Kris Kringle” kicks off the holiday season along with a great benefit CD, take a listen!

Screen shot 2009-11-30 at 8.50.59 PMMerry December everyone!

It’s just about that time a year to get out the jingle bells and wrapping paper, so what better way to kick off the season and help out some people than to put out a benefit CD. Mark Bryant, of Plimro Records (Jake Hill, Patmos Brothers Revival), COOL102, and some other cool cats put together a 22-band Christmas benefit CD featuring the likes of local favorites 3rd Left, Jake Hill, Shaun Dever and more.

Featured on the CD is a new song by a new band, featuring 4 of our good friends: Shaun Dever, Nick Amendolare (both formerly of Comboguy, and Shaun frequents our stages), Nate Cristofori (you’ve seen him on the waterfront with his piano), and Tyler Kinsherf (formerly of our old friends, the Side Street Bandits). The band, The Juicebox Graduates, and the song, “The Real Kris Kringle”. You can check it out right here at Brewster Productions! http://www.brewsterproductions.com/kringle .

The sale of the CD will benefit the Cranberry Hospice and the Fragile Footprint Pediatric Palliative Care Program. Here’s the tracklist: http://www.thecheapseats.net/a_christmas_miracle-back.jpg

There are going to be a few release parties in Plymouth and Hyannis, and we’ll let you know more about how to purchase the CD.

Happy shopping!
