Up-and-coming…
Every now and then we’re going to update this page with a particularly talented artist we’ve worked with who we were particularly blown away by, and is really going places. This artist isn’t on our “unofficial roster“, and isn’t brand new either, they’re just new to us and we think they’re totally gnarly, to use the parlance of our early youth.
For now, our featured up-and-coming artist is LUCAS CARPENTER, hailing from the Philadelphia area. We hosted this 3-time Berkelee College of Music Songwriter of the Year (he graduated from there a couple years back) at our summer concert series in August – he was on tour with the also-awesome Mark Rose (formerly of Spitalfield fame) – and man did he rock the house…or outdoors, I suppose. On stage, he is a “one man band” sort of act, using acoustic guitars, djembes, flutes, toy tambourines, and everything in between, along with the biggest loop/effects pedal board the world has ever seen. He has four albums available on iTunes and through his myspace, the newest of which, “The Pixelated Path”, has been voluntarily stuck in our CD players since the show. Check him out. Buy his CDs.
