The School’s Out Summer Concert Series utilizes a small network of close friends and siblings to staff its all-volunteer shows. Everyone from the bands to the sound guy are there for fun, exposure or experience, but certainly not money. Here’s some info about the people helping to entertain you.
Founders:
Scott McEwen, 22, attended Plymouth South High School, where he graduated in 2005 as an award-winning carpentry student in the technical program. He works in the southeastern Massachusetts area as a carpenter, at the Pilgrim Sands Motel, and manages Brewster Productions, where his duties include sound and lighting engineer, stage manager and equipment manager.

Favorite area concert venue: The Living Room, Providence; Lupo’s, Worcester Palladium
Jon Dorn, 23, is a graduate student at Emerson College in Boston, where he is working toward a Master of Fine Arts in film and sound production. He graduated from Skidmore College in 2009 with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Studio Art & Art Theory. When not in school, Jon works woks as a substitute teacher in the Plymouth public school system and as a staff member at the Plymouth waterfront Visitor’s Center, among others. In his spare time, Jon plays bass with The Eagle Hill Band. His duties with the concert series include public relations/publicity, administrative duties, sound engineering and graphics.
Favorite music: Streetlight Manifesto, Brand New, J. Geils Band, Allman Bros., Westbound Train.

Harry Quinn, 22, will be graduating in May 2010 from University of Massachusetts Lowell with a B.A. in History with a minor in Theater. He plans to work in secondary education. When away from school, Harry works as a substitute teacher in the Plymouth public school system and volunteers with the Red Cross. His duties with Brewster Productions include staff manager and publicity.
Favorite music: Beatles, Beck, Rolling Stones, Straylight Run, Brand New.
Favorite area concert venue: Axis, Avalon, Plymouth waterfront, Worcester Palladium.

Steve McEwen – head roadie, electrician. Steve is a graduating senior in the Plymouth South HS electrical program.
Shaun Dever – graphics. Shaun is a recent graduate of Plymouth State University, with a degree in elementary education.
Erin Hollenbeck – roadie, merch. Erin is a recent graduate of Bridgewater State College, with a degree in elementary education.
Phil Hulse – roadie, tech. Phil is an engineering student at UMass-Dartmouth and the drummer of the Eagle Hill Band.
Seth McFadyen – roadie, tech. Seth is an earth science student at Bridgewater State College and the lead singer/guitarist of the Eagle Hill Band.
Courtney Doherty – roadie, merch. Courtney is a student at Suffolk University Law School.
Alex Dorn – roadie, merch. Alex is an architecture student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Melanie Dorn – roadie, merch. Melanie is a junior at Plymouth South HS.
Andrew Carleen – roadie, merch. Andrew is on leave from Brewster Productions, serving in the US Navy after a 4-year stint in the Boston University NROTC.
